Now that you understand what blockchain is, how it works, and what all it has to offer. Let me show you a real life example. There is a blockchain network named “Wormhole Network” which was hacked recently, in Feb itself. Now the basic premise behind hacking is that you take the money and give it to yourself right? When you’re physically looting any bank, you’re stuffing the money in your bags. However, when you’re taking money from a blockchain, you’re transferring that money to your wallet, which is denoted by a blockchain address. Remember I had told you that this address is public and can be accessed by anyone with an Internet connection, and that is what happened:
(A series of events)
Image 1: Wormhole Network’s official Twitter Handle took responsibility and acknowledged that the hack has occurred and that they’re trying to make sure that nobody is at loss.
Image 2: People on twitter were quick to react. They accessed the network, found out the address, to which the assets were being transferred, and they DMed the hacker cuz I mean who wouldn’t want to talk to an actual hacker who’s stealing millions of dollars in front of everyone’s eyes.

TW: Suicide
Image 3: Moreover, not only people were able to talk to the hacker, they were also able to see what the hacker was doing w that money. They can track all the purchases that the hacker was doing. In this case, the hacker was trying to buy an APE coin.
